Developer Vrancor from Hamilton is planning to build 2 condos, 35 and 30 storeys, connected by a 60-foot podium wall stretching along Lakeshore Rd from Brant St. to Elizabeth St.
This proposed over intensification is a potential threat to public safety.
There will be construction for years…
It will create more traffic congestion without a major public transportation hub downtown…
It could overwhelm the infrastructure such as access to garbage disposal, snow clearing, ambulance, fire, police, etc.
It might create environmental issues with digging down 5 levels of parking on the shoreline…
AND it will block off public views of our beautiful lake forever.
